Position Overview
The Sourcing Agent is responsible for sourcing and pricing product for the sellers and customers of BradyPLUS. This position will play a key role in driving topline and bottom line profits. The Sourcing Agent will oversee the company’s workflow process of assigned special-order items, item sourcing, quoting and vendor negotiations. He or she will be a strategic partner to sales and work closely with Supply Chain and Merchandising to provide pricing, freight quotes, and minimum order requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
- Independently source and price products.
- Manage special-order intake process for special customer requests.
- Validate requests against current assortment to eliminate redundant item set up.
- Provide all pertinent information to sellers regarding special order item requests to include but not limited to cost, list, case packs, color, size, vendor minimums, lead time, freight, etc.
- Complete new vendor and item setup for requests submitted by local divisions ensuring all. pertinent information is provided.
- Perform Kit Maintenance.
- Manage Item and POs for Parts Programs,
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of three years of experience in inventory management and purchasing.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Great verbal and written communication, detail-oriented, critical analysis, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to professionally interact with a wide range of key executive members and management.
- Good analytical skills and proficiency level in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good mathematical skills with the ability to perform basic math operations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on assignments and prioritize workflow with some supervision.
- Capable of assimilating information quickly and reaching conclusions.
- Understanding of the Purchasing Module of all applicable ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems preferred.
- Previous P21 experience preferred.
