The Braintree Public Schools seeks a school psychologist to provide services at Braintree High School. Candidates must possess the appropriate credentials and licensure.
Performance responsibilities will include:
- Providing a full range of psychological assessments, in accordance with state and federal regulations, as part of the Special Education eligibility/service determination process for initial and re-evaluations.
- Writing comprehensive evaluation reports in accordance with federal and state mandates.
- Presenting findings and recommendations from psychological assessments as a member of the building’s multidisciplinary team.
- Analyzing, interpreting, and presenting psychological data and reports from outside agencies.
- Collaborating with teams on data-based decision making.
- Participating as a member of building-based support teams to identify at-risk students, assess student needs, and recommend research-based interventions and supports for students who receive general and/or special education services.
- Providing crisis prevention and intervention services.
- Providing individual and group counseling as needed.
- Consulting with parents and school teams on student behavior and mental health issues
- Effectively communicating with parents about student progress.
- Performing other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor and/or designee.
