Key Responsibilities :
- Performs general advising to students on issues of immigration, travel, employment, financial and personal issues, cultural shock and academic adjustment. 20%
- Maintains, analyzes, and assures quality of data within the ISSO and its reporting functions to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). Performs necessary actions in TerraDotta, PeopleSoft and SEVIS as required with advising functions to international graduate and undergraduate students. Performs ISSO check-ins. 35%
- Performs advising / workshops on travel and visa renewal issues, visa status extensions, taxes, employment issues, cross-cultural awareness-plans and executes support programs for international students and scholars and their dependents. 15%
- Generate documents for newly admitted students. Assists in communication with students / scholars concerning their visa documents. 20%
- Other administrative duties required. 10%
