As part of the Robert Kraft Family-Brandeis Initiative on Antisemitism, this 1 to 2-year fellowship offers any recent Brandeis graduate an opportunity to work with the
Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS)
. FCAS launched the Stand Up To Jewish Hate campaign in 2023, reaching millions of people across the United States and establishing the Blue Square as a universal symbol to stand against antisemitism and all forms of hate. Through powerful positive messaging and partnerships with prominent Jewish and non-Jewish organizations, FCAS is strongly positioned to drive effective change. FCAS leverages unique social media monitoring technology to drive effective rapid response to Jewish hate and all hate, in addition to proactive programs that galvanize popular support for the Jewish community.
The Foundation to Combat Antisemitism aims to inspire and mobilize all people to become upstanders against Jewish hate.
Philanthropy Fellow

The Philanthropy Fellow will support the Foundation’s fundraising, strategy and engagement efforts. This role is designed for individuals passionate about antisemitism, philanthropy, and nonprofit engagement, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make meaningful contributions to the Foundation’s philanthropic initiatives. Key areas of focus will include donor stewardship and engagement, prospect research, and data management. This fellowship provides an opportunity for professional development and offers a pathway for future careers in fields including but not limited to fundraising, sales, nonprofit management, and business development.
This position reports to Maya Buki Dabby, Chief Philanthropy Officer.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate for this role would be a recent Brandeis undergraduate with a keen eye for detail and strong research skills. We welcome all majors to apply. They should possess excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, and be proficient in using tools including Microsoft Office. Training will be provided for Salesforce and other tools. Curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to making a difference through their work is essential in this position. Key areas of focus will include donor engagement and stewardship, research and data management, and grant writing and proposal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Data Management (40%):
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential and existing prospects, focusing on wealth screenings, philanthropic giving patterns, and personal interests to tailor engagement strategies.
  • Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce to assist the philanthropy team on reporting progress towards fundraising goals.
Grant Writing and Proposal Development (40%):
  • Support the development of grant proposals for institution funding and private foundations.
  • Assist with reporting to and renewing grant-based gifts and ensuring all requirements are met.
Donor Engagement and Stewardship (20%):
  • Assist in the creation and execution of donor stewardship plans for key donors, ensuring recognition that aligns with each donor’s level of giving.
  • Monitor and track all donor interactions including drafting acknowledgement letters, letters, and additional stewardship materials for major donors.
Salary: This position works in person at the FCAS offices at Gillette Stadium! Salary range is $50,000 - $55,000.
