What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Administrator position at Brandise Construction?
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Administrator for ground up construction and tenant improvements. This is a full time, long term position that requires optimum performance from a construction professional knowledgeable of materials, means, and methods of construction. The ideal candidate possess the ability to work with the team to ensure the smooth functioning of each construction project.
Duties :
- Assist the Project Manager in developing and implementing assigned project budgets, schedules, RFI's, change orders, submittals, other project documentation as needed.
- Assist the Project Manager, in all preliminary construction activities such as contract award and LOI's.
- Assist the Project Manager in ensuring the efficient and smooth coordination of project operations. Also assist with ensuring field personnel have all information required to perform their tasks.
- With the help of the Project Manager/Superintendent, gather plans and spec’s for building permit submittal.
- Attend weekly project meetings and compile meeting minutes.
- Obtaining dust control permits for all projects.
- Process, distribute, and file assigned project documentation from field Supervisors, Project Managers, and owner’s representatives.
- Keep track of project progress in Google Sheets
- Assist in project closeout, including punch list management and administration, operating manuals, warranties and guarantees, electronic records and as built drawings. Archive project files when project is complete.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 5 years hands on experience within commercial construction industry, specifically working for a general contractor.
- Have a general knowledge of project constructability and construction documentation, tracking and filing.
- Experience dealing standard construction documentation such as change orders, submittals, schedules and construction correspondence.
- The ability to read blueprints is highly preferred but not required.
