Job Summary:
- Maintaining a system for preventing, identifying, reporting, investigating and controlling infections and communicable diseases for all residents, staff, volunteers, visitors and other individuals providing services under a contractual arrangement based upon the facility assessment.
- During an outbreak event, monitors and manages the surveillance testing program, including but not limited to baseline testing of residents and staff, ongoing surveillance if one resident and or staff member has a positive result, and monitoring the county and regions for community- based spread of infection specific to state or federal criteria for testing of staff and residents.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited, approved school of nursing. Current registration with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control.
