Job Summary
We are seeking a Supervisor to oversee the management of our scaffolding crew. This role requires effective communication and leadership skills to ensure the safe execution of projects and maintain good client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop pre-job plans to ensure proper equipment is available, including layout design, estimating, bidding, and change orders.
- Maintain a safe work site by monitoring compliance with project safety program requirements.
- Manage contracts, rental equipment, and expenses to protect the company's interest while maintaining good relationships with clients.
- Oversee all craft manpower at the job site, minimizing overtime hours and ensuring profitability.
- Perform administrative duties, such as yard and job site inventory, safety meetings, and paperwork.
- Supervise Scaffold crew(s) and perform labor work on an as-needed basis.
Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive safely.
- Excellent oral communication skills to interact with coworkers and customers.
- Strong leadership abilities to inspire and coach employees.
- Able to present a clean professional image and encourage subordinates to do the same.
- Typically acquired through 5 years of craft experience in commercial or industrial markets.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to talk, hear, use hands, and stand/walk.
- Capable of continuously wearing harness and work belt weighing 25-50 pounds.
- Ability to climb onto trailers, trucks, and ladders to access scaffolding.
Work Environment
- Available for non-traditional hours to complete projects.
- Potentially exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
- May work in varying degrees of confined space and moderate noise levels.
