Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves engaging with children aged 2-5 years, implementing educational activities, and promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This is a morning position. Hours are 9am-1pm Monday through Friday. Candidate must be available Monday through Friday.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout the day.
- Utilize Montessori methods to facilitate independent learning and critical thinking skills among students.
- Monitor children's progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Maintain records of each child's progress, behavior, and any concerns related to child welfare.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience within the preschool setting.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (or Elem Education) or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with students in a daycare or preschool setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Teaching Strategies Gold (assessment system) is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for young children.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of child welfare practices and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.
- A passion for teaching and nurturing young minds through engaging educational experiences.
- Ability to speak and write clearly.
- Ability to use basic computer functions.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
