Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing a variety of maintenance tasks. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Fabricate and repair components as needed, utilizing welding skills when necessary.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, including the use of voltmeters and ammeters for diagnostics.
- Maintain industrial equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to complete larger projects and repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, prioritizing urgent issues.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance work performed and materials used.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, electrical systems, and general building maintenance practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals is a plus.
- Experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
