Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Customer Service – Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to manage and coordinate all aspects of shipping and receiving operations. This office-based role involves scheduling shipments, handling logistics, using customer portals, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, experience in shipping/receiving, and proficiency with logistics systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Shipping & Receiving: Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Plan and schedule shipments with carriers, suppliers, and customers to meet deadlines.
- Customer Portal Management: Utilize customer portals to process orders, track shipments, and provide updates.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all shipping documents, invoices, and records are accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Communication & Customer Support: Serve as the primary contact for customers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipping inquiries, delays, and resolutions.
- Inventory Coordination: Work with warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy and timely receiving of goods.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, or delays in a timely and professional manner.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for optimizing shipping and receiving efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or a related role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using customer portals, ERP systems, and shipping software.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, freight logistics, and documentation is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with major carriers (FedEx, UPS, LTL freight).
- Familiarity with customs documentation and international shipping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
