What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Branex Group?
Responsibilities
We are a body shop where we weld vehicles together. Assembling smaller components body shop. We get a lot of the components shipped in from suppliers and we just put everything together.
Foremost will be safety. We have to make sure make sure they are holding people accountable from a safety perspective, especially in The Body Shop. We've got a lot of robots and sharp metal, so lacerations could happen fast. Ensuring everyone is wearing proper PPE and setting manpower daily. Also, holding people accountable for attendance related items and quality and throughput related items. And then they're also responsible for managing the quality and rate coming out of their group. We have a daily target which is broken down to an hourly target and they're essentially graded on if they're making the rate or not and if they're not, what are they doing different to achieve rate hourly so that we can produce the number of units that we need. We try to put them in one group and keep them there. If attrition occurs, we could ask people to be potentially moved.
