The Role: Supplier Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Supplier Analyst responsible for managing relationships with Tooling and Equipment suppliers. This role involves monitoring and analyzing the General Assembly’s supplier network, assessing their performance against key metrics, and identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement. You will research and identify new supplier capabilities, quality standards, pricing, and timing to ensure they add value the team. This position requires collaboration with the purchasing and supply chain team, technical leads, and execution teams. Additionally, the selected candidate will serve as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
This role requires an elevated level of independent judgment, initiative, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple estimates, with a focus on identifying accurate cost estimates and proposing cost reductions.
What You will Do:
- Analyze and interpret data to inform sourcing decisions, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and measure the performance of current tooling and equipment suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Execution teams to ensure KPIs are suitable for quantifying and tracking value creation.
- Maintain and create KPIs for both current and future suppliers
- Conduct quantitative analysis to evaluate supplier scalability and identify cost-saving opportunities, through the use of Power BI
- Partner with suppliers to ensure they meet delivery and quality standards and collaborate on resolving any issues that arise.
- Prepare monthly reports on supplier performance, status, and operations.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement plans, identifying underperforming areas and potential development opportunities.
- Define, create, and maintain standardized work instructions.
- Analyze, organize, and comprehend large data sets in various formats.
- Aligns BI technologies with strategic initiatives
- Advise Manufacturing on how BI (processes, practices and technologies) play an important role in improving business management and optimization
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- BS degree in Computer Science Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in KPI management within automotive manufacturing/engineering or automotive purchasing.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in KPI tracking.
- PowerBI, Tableau, or similar proficiency. (Position will require use of PowerBI)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
