Job Title : Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary :
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role involves supervising and training housekeeping staff, conducting regular inspections, managing supplies, and promptly resolving guest complaints to enhance overall guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will lead by example, maintain rigorous quality control, and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hotel policies.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervision & Staff Management :
Oversee daily operations of the housekeeping team.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide continuous coaching.
Train new hires and conduct ongoing staff development.
Enforce hotel policies and safety regulations consistently.
Quality Control & Inspections :
Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas.
Identify and address cleanliness issues promptly.
Implement corrective actions to uphold quality standards.
Develop and maintain a public scoreboard with lead measures to track team performance.
Inventory & Supply Management :
Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of housekeeping supplies and linens.
Coordinate with vendors to order cleaning products and equipment.
Implement cost-effective inventory control measures to prevent wastage.
Guest Service & Complaint Resolution :
Respond to guest requests and provide exceptional housekeeping services.
Investigate and resolve any complaints efficiently.
Collaborate with the front desk team to meet special guest requirements.
Compliance & Safety :
Ensure all housekeeping procedures adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Conduct regular training sessions on OSHA standards and hotel sanitation policies.
Report maintenance issues to the engineering department for prompt resolution.
