Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of hospitality, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and ensure they feel welcomed.
- Manage the seating chart and coordinate with servers to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Answer phone calls promptly, utilizing proper phone etiquette to assist with reservations and inquiries.
- Utilize Resy for managing reservations and seating arrangements effectively.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Help resolve any guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Host or Lead Host required.
- Strong proficiency with Resy, our customer booking software, is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for helping others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
