Plus, a few generous raffles thrown in for good measure Role Description As the leader of our Equestrian Center team, you are responsible for the care of Employees, Members, Guests, horses, and the facilities within Brasada Ranch Equestrian Club and Brasada Trails. You are also the leader and role model for exceptional service and experience delivery, both to our membership group and our visiting guests. We take great pride in providing the best possible service for ALL of our guests and members, and this includes our trail horses and the horses that we and our members call family. In this position, you are responsible for overseeing a team of Equestrian Ranch Hands and Trail Guides that provide full care for our member's horses, Brasada's horses, and the Equestrian Center. Full care includes feeding, cleaning stalls/paddocks and keeping the Equestrian Center grounds neat and orderly. You will also manage the Brasada Trails Operation and work closely with the Rim Rock Riders Association as appropriate. To be successful in this position, you must love working with different breeds of horses with varying and ever-changing temperaments. You will demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in horse behavior and maintenance to ensure that each animal is genuinely cared for. Building strong relationships with our Equestrian Members and gaining their trust by ensuring the best level of care is provided daily for their horses, in accordance with the Equestrian Agreement, is expected. General Responsibilities The Equestrian Manager oversees two main business aspects within the Equestrian Center, management and care of our Brasada Member's horses, and the management of the Brasada Trails experience. Greet equestrian members and guests with excellent customer service, give tours of the equestrian center, answer phones, and assists all members and guests with special requests. The Equestrian Manager delegates tasks to the EQ Team and supervises all projects as per the approved AOP for the Equestrian Club and Brasada Trails. Supervise and perform daily feeding of horses, mucking stalls/paddocks (adding shavings as needed), turning out and bringing in horses, checking horses for cuts or lameness (knowledge of first aid a plus), and blanketing. Supervise and perform cleaning; washing down the barns, cleaning hay mangers, cleaning automatic waterier and hay/grain/supplement preparation. Work one on one with the Members and their horses to provide personalized care and cater to the specific needs of each. Act as a point of contact with all Equestrian members to address any concerns or suggested improvements that they offer. Oversee all Equestrian Attendants within the department. Ensure that daily checklists are being completed and all Equestrian Club standards are being met. Work with property leaders and experience team to ensure deployment of regular and relevant Club communications to the Equestrian Members. Provide onboarding and training of all new hires in the Equestrian Club department. Work with Brasada Managers and Equestrian Members to elevate Club activities and events. Provide excellent care to our Brasada Trails horses and ensure that all operations are working in compliance to County, State, and Brasada standards. Create and deliver world-class experiences for guests, members, and locals that elevate Brasada's trail ride experience over comp set in the Pacific Northwest. Lead custom 5-star experiences for children and adults that educate on horses, the resort and local area information. Work with group sales and athletic center manager to create and lead experiences such as cowboy cookouts, corporate events, and team building activities Contribute to the departmental budgeting process and employ strategies to achieve departmental GOP, both revenue driven and effective management of expenses. Work closely with Director or Resort Operations and Brasada / Northview Marketing teams to curate BR Trail storylines and marketing materials. Skills/Traits Must have at least 6 years' experience in caring for horse Demonstrate knowledge, patience and a sense of enjoyment in caring for horses Demonstrate strong leadership skills to lead a small team of attendants to ensure that all standards of care are met.
