What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respite Caregiver for seventh grade student with Autism position at Braun?
Seeking a kind, nurturing caregiver with a calm and patient demeanor to support a sweet twelve-year-old girl with autism. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills, and be able to provide care tailored to the child's individual needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing attentive, one-on-one care and supervision.
- Assistance with daily routines (meals and snacks, self-care, activities, appointments, etc.)
- Drive the family's provided car or accompany the child to therapy appointments and recreational activities
- Updating calendar, providing a clear visual schedule of each day, offering reminders to ease transitions
- Planning and engaging in fun, creative activities
- Assist with school work/homework
- Preparing healthy vegetarian meals and snacks
- Assisting with organizing child’s clothes, art supplies, and school paperwork
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children with a disability such as: PDA, Autism, Anxiety, OCD, and/or ADHD is required
- Background check, references, and fingerprinting required

If hired the candidate will need to complete online training and complete background check and fingerprinting. This is a W-2 position that includes benefits and is paid via direct deposit.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $21.50 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
