Our staffing agency represents a privately-held AI-powered support engineering firm that helps its customers provide high-precision technical support to its end users. It has earned raves from innovative global firms like Databricks, Corelight, StreamNative, RisingWave, Skypilot, Quix, and more.

This 15-employee, Seed-funded firm ($11.5 million), whose senior leaders bring experience from UC Berkeley, Turi, HPE, and Alteryx, is seeking a Founding Account Executive to close $10k to $50k ACV software deals to companies that provide technical support to their customers, such as dev tools, infrastructure, IT, analytics platforms, and database software. This hybrid role reports to the CEO.

Role

* Individual contributor role, working from their San Mateo office and from your home office.

* $100k to $120k base salary, commensurate with previous quota attainment. Double OTE. Uncapped comp plan with accelerators.

* Fun sales motion: clients sign up for a two-week POC, and 80% of those POC have converted into signed agreements.

* You must have 3 years of experience selling into a technical buyer profile, such has Engineering, Development, IT, or Product.

* Startup experience is required as well, and if you’ve been an SDR and/or a founding AE before, you’re at the top of our list.

* Challenger Sale mindset is critical. In many cases you are selling the larger vision of AI technical support; you are targeting innovators and early adopters.

Official Job Description


As the Founding Account Executive, you will work closely with the CEO to scale our sales processes. You’ll own the entire sales pipeline, from prospecting to closing deals. Additionally, you will have a unique opportunity to help establish best practices and define our sales strategies.


You will…

  • understand our value proposition and communicate it effectively to potential customers.
  • develop targeted messaging for prospecting, especially into mid-market and enterprise accounts.
  • collaborate closely with the engineering team to relay customer requirements and feedback.
  • guide customers through the sales cycle, including qualification, demos, trials, and closing deals.
  • work alongside the CEO to refine key sales tactics, with an emphasis on accelerating deal velocity.
  • formalize a sales playbook with a focus on repeatability over the course of the first year to help onboard future sales team members.
  • partner with the engineering team to ensure customer health and satisfaction post-sale.


You…

  • have 5 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, including 3 years selling in a technical sales motion (e.g., dev tools, cloud infrastructure, security infrastructure).
  • ideally have experience selling into companies with 1K employees or $50MM revenue.
  • have met or exceeded $750K annual sales quotas in 2 years.
  • are passionate about AI technology and eager to drive customer adoption.
  • excel in consultative sales, understanding customer needs, and structuring tailored solutions.
  • possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • are excited about the opportunity to shape the go-to-market strategy at an early-stage company.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
