Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective commercial clients, moving opportunities through all stages of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Present and demonstrate product offerings to potential clients, showcasing the value of the solutions in addressing their business challenges.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to secure business, ensuring alignment between the company’s objectives and the client’s requirements.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set for the commercial accounts, driving revenue growth for the business.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer success, and product, to ensure the client’s needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to adapt sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
- Regularly update CRM systems with accurate forecasts and sales activity data, ensuring the business has visibility into revenue expectations.
- Ensure smooth transition from sales to implementation by providing necessary onboarding support and working with the customer success team to ensure satisfaction.
- Continuously improve product knowledge and sales techniques through training, attending conferences, and seeking feedback to better meet client needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably managing mid‑to‑large commercial accounts.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to C‑level stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities, comfortable handling complex contract discussions.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage pipeline and forecasting.
- Analytical mindset, able to interpret data, create forecasts, and adapt strategy based on insights.
- Customer‑centric approach, skilled at building long‑term relationships and understanding client needs.
- Self‑motivated and highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple accounts and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on‑site client meetings, industry events, or trade shows.
