Brave Minds Psychological Services, LLC is a private practice specializing in anxiety and trauma as well as children and adolescents. We provide LGBTQIA affirming, Neurodiversity affirming, and Culturally-affirming trauma-informed therapy. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, meticulous, and dedicated person who is eager to learn the ins and outs of attracting and scheduling individuals seeking to change their life through mental health services.
This entry to intermediate level position requires candidates to work in-person during the day for three days a week (Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays) for 21 to 24 hours a week in Scotch Plains NJ and Branchburg NJ. Weekly meetings are Thursdays at noon. Orientation and training will require multiple days per week over 6-8 weeks.
The Mental Health Administrative Assistant position is ideal for a candidate who

Starting Pay Rate for Mental Health Administrative Assistant:
- $17 with minimal to no related mental health experience, 6 month increases provided as experience is gained.
- $21 with history of experience scheduling callers at a mental health outpatient center
Schedule:
Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays
On-site both the Branchburg and Scotch Plains locations.
Mondays in Scotch Plains, NJ

Responsibilities for the Mental Health Administrative Assistant Include:
- Reception: Screening, engaging and scheduling potential clients, answering phone calls/emails and tracking referrals
- Office management: maintaining office supplies, incidental cleaning, and file management
- Website building: writing and finding appropriate images for blogs and pages
- Blogging: ghost writing, researching, finding and creating appropriate photos
- Marketing: mailings, marketing material creation, and phone calls
- Social media management: creating posts for Facebook and Instagram using Canva
- Professional communications: letter writing, emailing and phone answering
Minimum Qualifications for Mental Health Administrative Assistant:
- Demonstrate cultural humility and the ability to be affirming to prospective callers
- A passion to learn and accept feedback
- Detail oriented, organized, and responsive with stellar time management skills
- Excellent phone skills
- Knowledge of Google Drive, Docs and Sheets
- The ability to work independently and interdependently
- Have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Have a quiet and confidential space while working from home
Additional Qualifications for Employment:
- Experience in the field of Mental Health
- Experience scheduling callers in a Behavioral Health Clinic
- Knowledge of platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Canva and WordPress
