Job Title: Electrical Estimator with experience in Healthcare Construction.
Location: Houston, TX
Position Overview:
Our electrical client is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator with experience in estimating projects valued at $2M and above, specifically in new build and healthcare environments. The successful candidate will have expertise with Accubid and McCormick software, a solid understanding of NEC, and experience working with various technical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Estimate electrical systems for healthcare, industrial, and technical projects
- Lead fully engineered estimates up to $5M
- Develop conceptual estimates and budgets up to $1M
- Analyze contract documents to determine scope of work and cost allowances
- Review and ensure estimates accurately reflect the project scope
- Utilize McCormick, Accubid, and Bluebeam for detailed cost estimates
- Mentor junior estimators and estimator trainees
- Assist the project team with clarifying deficiencies or questions during estimating processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
- Minimum of one year of recent electrical estimating experience, with on-screen take-off experience preferred
- Proficiency in McCormick and Accubid software
- Familiarity with NEC codes and standards
- Experience with new build projects, particularly in healthcare settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
