About the Role:
We are seeking a Civil Estimator with 3-6 years of experience to join our growing construction team in Tampa, FL. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of site development, road construction, utility, and infrastructure projects. If you have experience working with general contractors, site development firms, or heavy civil construction companies, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment on projects ranging from $5M-$50M .
- Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to collect and analyze pricing information.
- Review blueprints, project specifications, and contracts to develop accurate bid proposals.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, project scheduling, and value engineering efforts.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate project cost forecasting.
- Maintain historical cost data and market trends to improve future estimates.
Qualifications:
3-6 years of experience in civil estimating, project management, or cost analysis.
Experience working with GCs, site development firms, or heavy civil contractors.
Strong knowledge of earthwork, site development, grading, road construction, and utilities.
Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and other industry software.
Ability to read, interpret, and quantify construction blueprints and bid documents.
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Local candidates preferred, but relocation assistance may be provided.
