Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Loader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate loading and unloading of goods, contributing to the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. This position requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and containers using forklifts and clamp trucks.
- Ensure accurate order picking and packing for shipments, verifying items against packing lists.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movements and maintain accurate records within the warehouse management system.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize loading processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist in inventory management by participating in regular stock counts and audits as required.
Skills
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations within a distribution center or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for order picking tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience working under the supervision of warehouse supervisors is preferred but not mandatory.
