Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of tasks including mowing, landscape maintenance, and the use of various tools to ensure that grounds are well-kept and inviting.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular mowing and trimming of lawns to maintain a neat appearance.
- Conduct landscape maintenance including planting, weeding, and mulching.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various maintenance tasks.
- Dig and build hardscape features such as pathways, retaining walls, and decorative elements.
- Irrigate plants and lawns as needed to ensure proper growth and health.
- Maintain equipment by cleaning, sharpening blades, and performing minor repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling tools.
Experience
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with lawn care techniques, landscape design, and hardscape construction is a plus.
- Ability to operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Experience using hand tools effectively for various tasks related to grounds upkeep.
- A strong work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to quality results.
