Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lumber Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling and processing lumber products within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in materials handling, operate heavy equipment, and possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, clamp trucks, and cherry pickers to move lumber products.
• Perform order picking and packing of lumber items for shipment.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials from delivery trucks.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Ensure that all materials are handled according to safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to heavy lifting and equipment operation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely (up to 50 pounds).
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
