Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to join our café team. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service, and maintaining high-quality customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating a positive, dynamic atmosphere for both staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Support: Assist the General Manager in overseeing all café operations, ensuring that daily tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

  • Staff Management: Supervise, train, and motivate team members to ensure a productive, positive, and customer-centric work environment.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that the café consistently delivers exceptional customer service and maintain high satisfaction levels. Handle customer concerns and feedback promptly.

  • Inventory & Ordering: Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stock organization, and ensuring proper inventory levels. Attention to detail in maintaining inventory records is crucial.

  • Financial Oversight: Assist with monitoring the café's financial performance, including managing budgets, analyzing sales trends, and helping to implement strategies for cost control.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the café complies with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Conduct regular audits to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met.

  • Scheduling & Labor Management: Help create and manage employee schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels while minimizing overtime and maximizing productivity.

  • Quality Control: Maintain attention to detail when it comes to food quality, presentation, and overall guest experience. Regularly check to ensure consistency in every aspect of service and product quality.

  • Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution: Address issues that may arise between staff members or with customers in a calm and efficient manner, offering timely solutions.

Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in a management role in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of café operations.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.

  • Proficient in using café management software, point-of-sale systems, and other relevant tools.

  • Ability to handle customer concerns professionally and effectively.

  • Knowledge of inventory management, ordering systems, and cost control measures.

  • Availability to work flexible hours

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in training staff and developing training materials.

  • A passion for coffee and food, and a deep understanding of quality café offerings.

  • Previous experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and staff scheduling.

  • A positive, can-do attitude with a focus on team collaboration.

Salary : $25 - $26
