Job Summary :
The Sr IT Project Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering critical IT projects for various departments across the organization. This role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to final execution, ensuring projects meet business objectives, stay within budget, and are delivered on time. The Sr IT Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external partners, driving projects related to software development, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in IT project management, ideally within the oil & gas or energy sectors, and a proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Job Responsibilities : Lead and manage multiple IT projects related to software development, infrastructure, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with functional leads and other internal stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments.
- Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs.
- Identify risks and issues and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success.
- Monitor and report on project status, financials, and performance to senior leadership.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers, promoting best practices and professional growth.
- Required Job Skills & Qualifications : Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience :
- 7 years of IT project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, system integration, and project management methodologies (Agile / Waterfall).
- Leadership and Communication :
- Proven ability to lead a diverse team of different technical team resources.
- Strong project organizational skills, including experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
