Order Release Specialist
Location: Houston, Texas (Onsite 5 days a week)

Position Summary:
Bray Controls is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Order Release Specialist to join our Accounting department. This position is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate processing and release of customer orders. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Sales, Logistics, and Accounting teams, ensuring smooth order flow while adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company practices.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Release customer orders within the accounting system, ensuring proper transaction handling.
- Work closely with the Credit and Collections team to confirm the appropriateness of order releases.
- Monitor order statuses and resolve any issues related to Accounting processes.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and financial controls.
- Prepare and maintain reports detailing order statuses, delays, and issues impacting revenue.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes for order processing.
- Collaborate with the Collections team to resolve any payment issues related to released orders.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Core Competencies:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2 years of experience in order processing, accounting, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, order management, and revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in handling complex order-related issues.
- Permanent work authorization for the USA required.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in order management and accounting.
