Are you ready to power the future? We're seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to drive innovation in transmission system planning and ensure reliable power for millions!
What You'll Do :
Provide electrical engineering analysis and technical support for the planning and operation of the transmission system. Perform system studies, analyze operating results, develop solutions to current or future system issues, and appropriately report findings and recommendations. Participate and coordinate with ERCOT on various working groups and model development. Prepare reports with project justifications for budgetary purposes and regulatory bodies. This position will also :
Analyze & Optimize : Use cutting-edge tools like PSSE and PowerWorld to conduct steady-state and dynamic analyses of ERCOT approved load flow models, develop solutions to current or future system issues and report findings and recommendations ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently.
Report & Recommend : Prepare comprehensive reports for short-term and long-term transmission planning in accordance with NERC Reliability Standards and ERCOT protocols, and develop solutions to current and future system challenges. Perform system impact studies of forecasted large power loads.
Collaborate with ERCOT : Participate in critical working groups and committees, and manage vital data to support system operations and planning.
Engage with Members : Work closely with member cooperatives to coordinate future projects, assess system performance, and enhance our service delivery.
What You’ll Bring :
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Texas Professional Engineer registration and experience in utility or cooperative environments is preferred.
