What You’ll Do :
As the Manager of Transmission System Planning, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and executing strategic plans for our transmission system. You will direct the system planning team, oversee comprehensive analyses and assessments, and collaborate closely with our member cooperatives and regulatory entities. You will also ensure alignment with NERC Reliability Standards, ERCOT protocols, and Brazos planning procedures. This role represents our cooperative in ERCOT working groups, supports key projects, and champions system reliability, growth, and sustainable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Planning & Analysis
- Lead steady-state and dynamic analyses using PSSE, PowerWorld, or other advanced modeling tools.
- Direct operating studies, providing insights and recommendations to enhance system reliability.
- Foster innovation by identifying and implementing new methods for planning future system growth.
Reporting & Budgeting
Stakeholder & Member Collaboration
Operational Agreements & Supervision
