Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and motivated Lead Painter to oversee and manage our painting crews. As the Lead Painter, you will be responsible for leading by example, ensuring that each project meets BRC Paintings high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. Youll also play a key role in mentoring junior painters, coordinating with clients, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of painters, ensuring all work is completed to company standards.
Review and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and priming.
Mix and match paint colors to meet specific project requirements.
Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces (interior and exterior).
Manage project timelines and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Ensure safety protocols are followed, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
Inspect completed work for quality and touch up as necessary.
Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide updates on project progress.
Train and mentor less experienced painters on techniques and safety practices.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
Qualifications:
5 years of professional painting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven ability to manage a team, providing guidance, feedback, and oversight.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
Ability to work efficiently and independently while managing multiple tasks.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with both residential and commercial painting projects.
Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards.
Certification or training in specialized painting techniques is a plus.
