What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at JDS Painting LLC?
JDS Painting LLC is a fully licensed painting contractor, providing year around work with performance advancement opportunities. Full-time employment & sub-contracting positions are available with weekly pay, bonus and other financial benefits.
Positions Needed:
Apprentice-Basic knowledge of tools. Painting for family and friends or summer help would be the ideal candidate. Opportunity for increased pay with enlisting in Shop-Apprentice Program.
Laborer-Basic knowledge of power washing, brush and roll techniques in both residential and commercial settings. Ability to set up ladders, scaffolding and prep all surface areas prior to painting application. Familiar with paint brands, finishes and cleaning work site at end of shift.
Journeyman- Minimum of (2*) years working in a professional painting setting with a minimum of (1*) continuous year working for the same company. Knowledge should include all brush, roll and spraying techniques. Experience operating high reach equipment and following work orders. Can successfully work as part of a team, independently and take on training role to laborer or apprentice as required.
Foreman- Minimum of (4*) years working in a professional painting setting with (2*) years of running crew size of three or more. Ability to run job from start to finish, order paint, coordinate work schedule with building owner/GC’s. Can perform and supersize all safety and performance requirements to complete the job per work order and company procedures.

* Must have a valid driver license and ownership of your vehicle.
* Good work ethic, punctual and team player.
- Prepare and clean surfaces for painting, ensuring optimal adhesion and finish quality.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment for residential and commercial painting projects.
- Read work orders and follow specifications to execute painting tasks.
- Apply various painting techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools are properly stored and maintained.
- Collaborate with other trades on renovation projects as needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
