Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Planning
- Develop and execute an internal communications strategy aligned with BRCs goals and organizational culture.
- Collaborate with the CHRO and Executive Management team to support key organizational initiatives, including employee engagement, DEI efforts, and workforce development programs.
- Evaluate and enhance communication tools, platforms, and practices to improve effectiveness.
- Partner with Marketing and Communications to elevate BRC's employer brand through strategic management of external platforms (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, really), while developing compelling employee value propositions that attract and retain top talent.
- Write, edit, and distribute internal newsletters, announcements, and executive communications.
- Create and manage an internal content calendar to ensure timely, relevant, and consistent messaging.
- Manage the agencys intranet, ensuring that content is engaging, accessible, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with the CHRO and leadership to manage internal communications during crises or organizational changes, delivering accurate, timely, and compassionate messaging.
- Develop and implement change management communication plans to support organizational transitions.
- Create, shoot and edit short informational videos.
- Partner with HR to support employee recognition programs, professional development opportunities, and organizational events.
- Create forums for staff feedback and two-way communication, such as surveys, town halls, and focus groups.
- Build a sense of community and connection among employees across BRCs diverse locations and programs.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives through surveys, engagement metrics, and feedback.
- Use insights to continuously improve strategies and recommend innovative approaches to communication challenges.
Education: Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, employee engagement, or a related field.
- Experience in non-profit or mission-driven organizations is strongly preferred.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency with internal communication tools and platforms (e.g., intranets, email systems, collaboration tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Sensitivity to the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness or from marginalized communities.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align communications with organizational goals.
- Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.

- Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
- Hybrid - 3 days in the office
