Job Summary
Under supervision of the Administrative Director of Child Development Services, the Supervisor of Child Development Services assists in the development, planning and coordination of the district's Early Learning and Expanded Learning programs, which include but are not limited to : school readiness, fee-based preschool and state funded preschool programs, fee-based before / after school programs, and seasonal camps. Assists in the planning, organization, and managing of Early Learning instructional program design and delivery systems; assists in the planning, organization, design, and implementation of Expanded Learning development, curriculum and instruction, and activities to ensure optimal educational opportunities and growth experiences for Child Development participants; articulates and supports child development principles within Preschool through 8th grade programs.
Requirements / Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in child development, education, recreation or related field (Master's Degree preferred).
- A minimum of four years increasingly responsible related experience that has provided applicant with the listed knowledge and skills.
- Valid California Driver's License;
- Valid, current First Aid and CPR Certificates;
- Possession of a valid Child Development Program Director permit.

Location : Child Development Services Office @ Arovista Elementary
Hours : 8.0 hours / day, 9 : 00 a.m. - 6 : 00 p.m.
5 days / week, Monday - Friday
12.0 months / year
Sick leave is earned at a rate of 12 days annually and vacation is earned at a rate of 20 days annually. There is an available insurance policy for hospitalization, major medical, dental, vision, and life. School employees must join the State School Employees Retirement System.
