Overview
An ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Clinical Supervisor is a key leadership role within an ABA therapy setting, overseeing the clinical aspects of behavioral treatment for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. They ensure that behavioral interventions are effectively implemented, supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Analysts, and maintain compliance with ethical and clinical guidelines.

- Bachelor's degree (required)
- Masters degree (either in program or graduated)
- Experience with children with ASD
- Managing/Supervising experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Clinical Supervision & Case Management
- Oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor client progress and make data-driven adjustments to interventions.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions with Behavior Technicians and ABA Therapists.
- Ensure therapy sessions are aligned with best practices and clinical standards.
2. Staff Training & Development
- Train, mentor, and supervise RBTs and other staff members.
- Provide ongoing professional development and ensure staff competency in ABA techniques.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
3. Assessment & Data Analysis
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skills assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS).
- Analyze data collected during therapy sessions to measure progress and treatment effectiveness.
- Develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment results.
4. Client & Family Support
- Collaborate with families to ensure therapy goals align with the client's needs.
- Educate parents/caregivers on behavior intervention strategies and techniques.
- Provide ongoing support and adjust treatment plans based on client progress and family input.
5. Compliance & Ethical Standards
- Ensure compliance with BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board) guidelines and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for client records.
- Uphold ethical standards in all aspects of clinical practice.
6. Communication & Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educators.
- Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and other professionals involved in the client’s care.
- Attend and participate in clinical meetings, IEP meetings, and case conferences.
7. Program Development & Quality Assurance
- Develop and implement ABA programs tailored to individual client needs.
- Monitor program effectiveness and ensure quality assurance across services.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in ABA therapy.Skills
