We are seeking a Development Director to join our leadership team and help drive the fundraising strategy that fuels our mission.
Position Overview
The Development Director will be responsible for executing BCDC’s development strategy, cultivating donors and corporate sponsors, and managing fundraising events. This position works closely with the Executive Director and other stakeholders to build strong relationships that result in sustained philanthropic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure individual and corporate gifts, sponsorships, and major donor support.
- Build and manage a donor pipeline using research, outreach, and cultivation strategies.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through personalized outreach and meaningful engagement.
- Lead planning and execution of key fundraising events: Annual Gala, Walk & Win, and Paint the Town Pink.
- Oversee event logistics, volunteer coordination, sponsorship fulfillment, and auction fundraising.
- Plan and execute donor recognition events and cultivation opportunities.
- Represent BCDC at community events and outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with business leaders, foundations, and volunteers to elevate BCDC’s visibility and support base.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and donor communications.
- Maintain accurate donor data and reporting using CRM tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, sales, or related field.
- Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or sponsorship development.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to engage with C-suite executives, board members, and high-level volunteers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor database systems.
- Ability to lift and transport event materials as needed.

Salary : $65,000 - $90,000
