The Horseback Riding Instructor works at Farr Park Equestrian Center, planning and conducting riding lessons of various disciplines. using principles of education and adult education, maintaining and promoting a safe environment.
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Education Preferred: Associate degree or graduation from an accredited 4-year college or university.
Area of Study (major) Required: Specific training in courses to be taught
Certification(s) Required: First Aid & CPR certification within 180 days of hire
Certification(s) Preferred: First Aid & CPR certification
Years Relevant Work Experience: Experience in teaching or training
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Specific knowledge of course material and discipline being taught;
- Ability to plan and instruct classes in a professional and proficient manner;
- Ability to work closely with the general public;
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Planning and delivering classes in a professional, proficient and courteous manner;
- Maintaining and enhancing positive public relations;
- Complying and enforcing BREC safety regulations; responding to, reporting accidents within specific timeframe;
- Maintain class roster and take attendance
