IOCC System Controller

Position Summary - Join us!

System Controllers are a key position to ensuring the on-time operations of the daily flight schedule. They assist with identifying and mitigating problems before they become large disruptions, as well as escalate issues to the on-shift IOCC Duty Manager as needed. In the event of a disruption, System Controllers will be responsible for supporting the IOCC Duty Manager in creating the most efficient recovery plan, including communicating the plan to station and other stakeholder groups via phone calls, emails, texts, and other means. They serve as the first point of contact between station personnel and the IOCC, answering questions regarding the daily operation.

Here's what you'll do

• Assist with developing and activate operating plans for the IOCC in conjunction with the IOCC Duty Manager.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound communications from the IOCC.
• Utilize operational knowledge to evaluate risks to daily operations of a 30 aircraft fleet.
• Assist with the development of action plans to mitigate Irregular Operations (IROPs).
• Communicate delays, cancellations, system challenges, and log significant events for later review.
• Escalate developing problem within the network to the IOCC Duty Manager.
• Assist the IOCC Duty Manager with command-and-control of day-to-day operations.
• Act as a contact point for communications between stations personnel and IOCC activities.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for System Control and Airline Operations functions for other departments as needed.
• Serve as the escalation point for aircraft emergencies that happen within the Breeze System.
• Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence
• Other duties as assigned

Here's what you'll need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in aircraft dispatch or operations control
• Knowledge of aviation weather products (METARs, TAFs, Prognostic charts, etc.)
• Knowledge of aircraft system deferrals and their effect on airline operations
• Strong knowledge of applicable FARs
• A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-Year degree in Aviation Management, Airport Management, Aviation Science, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in aircraft dispatch or operations control for a 121 airline
• Previous experience with the NavBlue Software Suite
