We're looking for a dedicated Client Onboarding Specialist to join our team and help bring our exceptional service to even more businesses in the Pittsfield area.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an organized, people-loving professional with an intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks Online to onboard new bookkeeping clients. You’ll be the first point of contact, ensuring their financials are set up properly and that they feel confident and supported before transitioning to their dedicated accountant. This role is part-time and based in our Pittsfield, MA office, with the potential to grow into a full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities:
Guide new clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into our bookkeeping services. Set up clients in QuickBooks Online, set up chart of accounts, and gather necessary financial information. Some clients will already be users of QBO and you'll need to modify some of their accounts for optimal service. Answer client questions, provide training as needed, and ensure they understand how we’ll handle their books. Identify and resolve any onboarding issues before handing clients off to their long-term accountant. Maintain clear communication with both clients and internal bookkeeping teams.
Requirements:
- Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks Online (certification a plus).
- Excellent communication skills – friendly, patient, and able to explain financial concepts in simple terms.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple client onboardings at once.
- Self-starter who can work independently and proactively problem-solve.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, client management, or a similar role is a plus.
