What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at Bremer Manufacturing Company?
Bremer Manufacturing. Co. Inc. is a privately held aluminum foundry, located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, serving the aluminum casting industry for over 75 yrs. Bremer operates a modern 66,300 square foot facility, producing aluminum sand castings for many industries including automotive and outdoor lighting. We have built our reputation by offering quality aluminum sand castings, providing excellent service and unparalleled responsiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct daily inspections on in-process castings and machined parts using CMM, calipers, micrometers, thread gages, plug gages, etc.
- Conduct internal audits of the Bremer manufacturing process documentation for ISO 9000 compliance.
- Become proficient in using and programming CMM (Hexagon Global with PC-DMIS software).
- Become proficient in using and programming PCMM (Romer Arm).
- Become proficient in using other QA lab equipment including tensile tester, x-ray machine, spectrometer, and specific gravity tester.
- Manage gage calibration system.
- Communicate with supervision and foundry personnel on defects detected and assist in resolving issues accordingly.
- Conduct chemical analysis tests (spectrographic) on incoming and in-process materials
- Attend required meetings (APQP, CA, Daily Production, etc.)
- Help maintain document control system.
- Perform GR&Rs.
- Learn and utilize Odyssey ERP system

This is a full-time position, paid weekly, potential for quarterly bonus, and full benefit package offered!
