Position Summary: We are seeking an ambitious, hardworking individual who loves the outdoors and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty. The landscape team member will work under the supervision of their team leader in various weather conditions while enjoying the freedom of the outdoors, installing landscape and hardscape designs, and can also include drainage systems, outdoor lighting, and routine bed maintenance. Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are important considerations for this position.

Objectives:
Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with policies, modeling safe equipment operation and driving practices according to company expectations and State Laws.
Reads/review job plans with the designer and implements the landscape construction plan within the allotted time frame and budget
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment. Ensure proper working order of all equipment and vehicles being used.
Operates a variety of mechanical equipment, including but no limited to: skid steer, mini skid steer, excavator, tiller, sod cutter, shovel, rake, pick, ax, auger, chainsaw, concrete saw, and drill. Operates vehicles such as dump trucks and truck and trailer combinations.
Routinely interacts with clients by way of introductions at the beginning of a job, answering questions, responding to client’s requests, and providing a walkthrough upon the jobs completion. Alert the project manager to any changes made to the job that may affect pricing or the final project.
Ensures the job is completed in the most time efficient manner and briefs the project manager, and makes recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns
Complete necessary paperwork, including timesheets and job tracking.
Manages a team of two or more employees, training employees on policies and procedures (team leader position)
Helps with snow removal during winter months
Competencies: Possesses or willing to learn landscaping terminology, including plants and materials, and applicable construction terms related to the materials and installation techniques
Education and Experience: One year experience in the landscaping/construction industry is preferred, but not required
Physical Demands: Employee must regularly lift and/or move 75 pounds and be physically able to perform the required tasks. Employees are regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment Must be able to withstand inclement weather conditions and uneven terrain.
Driver's License Required.
