ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish.

Strategic Leadership and Operations

  • Lead the development and execution of operational strategies across multiple sites to enhance production efficiency and throughput.
  • Oversee capacity planning and ensure alignment with revenue growth projections, optimizing resource allocation across facilities.
  • Implement a continuous improvement framework to standardize workflows, reduce variability, and improve operational consistency.
  • Foster a results-driven culture of innovation management, encouraging new ideas and implementing solutions to meet evolving business challenges.

Safety, Health, and Environmental Compliance (QSHE)

  • Champion safety-first operations by leading daily safety huddles, implementing best practices, and ensuring adherence to QSHE standards.
  • Develop and oversee safety training programs, incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans to achieve zero-loss time incidents.
  • Conduct comprehensive regulatory audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate waste management and sustainability practices into daily operations.

Financial Management and Cost Optimization

  • Drive cost reduction strategies through waste elimination, improved asset utilization, and operational efficiency programs.
  • Manage annual budgets, forecasts, and CAPEX projects, with a focus on financial discipline and ROI-driven initiatives.
  • Implement inventory reduction programs using tools like Kanban, pull systems, and demand-driven inventory optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for logistics savings through route optimization, internal fleet utilization, and vendor partnerships.

Customer Satisfaction and Quality Control

  • Oversee the deployment of quality control systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous customer satisfaction.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce production lead times and enhance on-time delivery rates, driving customer loyalty and retention.
  • Implement feedback loops to collect and act on customer insights, ensuring operational processes align with service level agreements (SLAs).

Team Development and Engagement

  • Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, promoting leadership development and succession planning.
  • Drive employee engagement through targeted development programs, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Implement cross-functional teamwork practices to streamline communication and collaboration across supply chain, production, and QSHE teams.

Technology Integration and Process Innovation

  • Spearhead the digital transformation of operations, including the advancement of warehouse management system (WMS) functionality and advanced analytics tools.
  • Integrate data analytics and business intelligence into decision-making processes, enabling improved demand forecasting, inventory control, and operational visibility.
  • Lead process automation initiatives to streamline production workflows, minimize manual effort, and drive productivity gains.

Crisis Management and Emergency Response

  • Develop and implement Incident Command System (ICS) protocols for crisis management and emergency preparedness.
  • Oversee the creation of comprehensive business continuity plans to mitigate risk and ensure operational resilience.
  • Lead the response to hazardous material incidents, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 15 years of leadership experience in multi-site operations, supply chain management, and facilities leadership, with proven QSHE expertise.
  • Extensive experience driving lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, SMED, value stream mapping (VSM), and pull/flow systems.
  • Demonstrated success in logistics optimization and reducing costs while improving throughput and delivery efficiency.
  • Strong safety leadership, with a history of maintaining zero-loss time incidents and fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as WMS, MRP systems, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead CAPEX projects, including greenfield facility start-ups and large-scale process improvements.
