Job Description
- Inspect and test raw / finished product and maintain records of inspections & tests for compliance with quality standards.
- Work with the production or operations team to correct and improve processes that lead to defects.
- Perform analytical testing in a laboratory environment following the company's SOP.
- Review and interpretation data to verify that is accurate and reasonable.
- Perform analytical calculations for reporting data into LIMS
- Perform instrumentation calibrations and/or basic troubleshooting as needed.
- Demonstrate and facilitate open and honest communication with the department and with employees at all levels of the company. Communicate regularly within the department on appropriate matters. Communicate with peer managers across the company.
- Maintain clean and orderly working environment.
Education and Experience:
- B.S. in a chemistry or science related field desired.
- Proven experience as a Lab Technician or relevant position.
- Experience in operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment and potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, biohazards etc.).
- In depth knowledge of QHSE Systems, preventative measures and laboratory best practices.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, clients and management.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to use advanced mathematical calculation for job related tasks.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situation.
