Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will provide full-time administrative support to the Golf Course Superintendent and assist with the overall operation of the golf course.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist the Superintendent in managing his schedule, organizing meetings, and maintaining files and records.
- Communication: Handle correspondence with vendors, staff, and members. This includes answering phone calls, responding to emails, and relaying messages.
- Documentation: Prepare reports on golf course maintenance activities and projects. Maintain records of pesticide applications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the procurement of supplies and equipment. Keep track of inventory levels and place orders when necessary.
- Budgeting: Help in preparing and maintaining the department's budget. Track expenditures and provide regular budget reports to the Superintendent.
- Meeting Coordination: Coordinate staff meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes.
- Project Management: Assist in planning and coordinating special projects and events.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in a golf course setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of golf is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 β 30 per week
