Job Title: Laundry Maintenance
Reports to: Laundry Manager
Purpose of the Job: Responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation o the Laundry Maintenance Department according to Brett/Robinson in order to assure that the laundry is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Minimum Skills and Abilities Required:

- Able to plan, organize, supervise, inspect and evaluate work of subordinates.
- Must have working knowledge of the operation and care of commercial washers and dryers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall maintenance of laundry facility and grounds.
- Performs monthly inspection of facility and grounds with supervisor.
- Serve as representative of Brett/Robinson, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other employees of Brett/Robinson, owners, guest and other members of the community.
- Analyze and resolve worker problems and recommend motivational plans.
- Examine and inspect equipment and maintenance sites to verify safety and ensure that works is completed, make sure all safety measures are in place
- Estimate material and worker requirements to complete job.
- Ensure the efficient and organized operation of the maintenance department which includes an accurate inventory of all parts and materials.
- Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance.
- Meet with manager at beginning and end of each day to review maintenance issues and made-ready status.
- Record information, such as personnel, production and operational data on specified forms and reports.
- Train and supervise all maintenance personnel regarding laundry methods and operations of equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensure all entrances are operable at all times and maintained in proper working order.
- Record scheduled maintenance on al equipment based on the manufacture’s recommendations and operations manual.
- Keep machine running on a daily basis / remove jams / trouble shoot problems
Working Conditions:
- Able to work flexible hours, seven days per week. Laundry workers experience hot, humid and cold environmental conditions.
- Able to safely carry, set-up and climb ladders.
- Able to bend, squad, stretch and stand for 8 hours at a time.
- Nothing in this job restricts management’s rights to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.
