What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Maintenance Technician/Supervisor Laundry position at Southern Sun Laundry?
General Summary of Duties:
Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of sophisticated laundry equipment, performing/ planning preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing any equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality laundry function.
Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, ironers, folding machines,steam boilers, air compressors and conveyor systems
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify any potential issues and address them promptly.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical( schematics), and plumbing problems in laundry equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.

Position Requirements:
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Technical Troubleshooting as well as Computer diaganostics
- Manage Preventative Maintenance and work Orders in Production Software Platform
- Parts management and Inventory and assistance in reordering and maintaining proper levels of parts inventory
- 3 years preferred experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Certification in equipment maintenance and repair (optional but preferred).
- Ability to take direction, questions, and instructions from supervisor, management and co-workers
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions
Education:
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Trade apprenticeship preferred.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
