Service Advisor

The Service Advisor is responsible for assisting customers with service needs. This role requires strong customer service skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to explain maintenance and repair recommendations to customers in a clear and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their service needs for RVs and marine vehicles.
• Write repair orders, document customer concerns, and communicate with technicians.
• Provide accurate estimates on labor and parts for service repairs.
• Keep customers updated on repair status and notify them of any additional work needed.
• Ensure all service work is properly documented and closed out upon completion.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in an RV, marine, automotive, or service advising role preferred.
• Knowledge of RV systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, towing) and/or marine mechanics is a plus.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable using computer systems for service scheduling and inventory management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the dealership and service area for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Frequently lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs. (such as parts, accessories, or tools).
• Occasionally kneel, crouch, bend, or reach to inspect RVs and marine vehicles.
• Ability to climb in and out of RVs, boats, and truck beds as needed for show-throughs and inspections.
• Comfortable working indoors in an office/service area and outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).

Compensation

• $50,000 to $70,000 annually DOE
  • Salary base plus commission
• $4,500/mo flat for first 60 days while training
