$2,130.46 to $2,343.51 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide as this position will require regular visits to each plant location. Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional work planning, maintaining, coordinating, and analyzing the budget, financial, and accounting functions for the Utility Services Department. Work involves providing support to field and plant operations staff, overseeing procurement practices and ensuring compliance with the operational budget across various locations throughout the County. Supervision is given to subordinate staff.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field PLUS four (4) years of professional accounting experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity. Additional qualifying experience and/or experience may be substituted one for the other on a year for year basis. Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
