Electrician II - Solid Waste

$24.18 to $26.60 hourly. Actual salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs skilled crafts and trades work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of industrial or commercial electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.Supervises subordinate staff.

REQUIREMENTS: Five (5) years of journeyman level experience in industrial electrical systems including two (2) years in a supervisory or lead worker capacity. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license. Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid Florida Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with no airbrake restrictions and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or manmade disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
