15.87 to $17.46 hourly.Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area / Grant-Valkaria / Travels Countywide.Work schedule is Monday through Friday 6 : 30 a.m. to 3 : 00 p.m. and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs entry-level service work in the inspection of mosquito breeding areas, application of pesticides, and related maintenance work.
REQUIREMENTS : Six (6) months of experience performing manual labor or operating automotive or watercraft which involved keeping simple written records and / or reports PLUS six (6) months of experience using a personal computer or tablet. Education cannot be substituted for the required experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Must possess a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, certification as an Arthropod Control Applicator, in accordance with the specifications set forth in Florida Statute 388.361(4), and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must be physically capable at all times of properly wearing and utilizing all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including appropriate respiratory protection. Must be able to work extended hours during peak season, mosquito outbreaks, and fires and / or overtime. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
