THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE
$16.37 to $18.01 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Beachside/Cocoa Beach. Part-time/up to 20 hours per week. Work schedule is Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and 4 hours during the week as needed. Performs entry-level office and clerical work in promoting Brevard County as a tourist destination to the general public by providing information on local accommodations, attractions, and points of interest. In addition, this classification is responsible for maintaining the Visitor Information Center.
REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or its equivalentPLUSone (1) year of responsible direct customer service experience. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience in tourism, marketing, public relations, or other similar field is preferred. Ability to speak one (1) or more foreign languages is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
